Construction & selection
Multicore aluminium-conductor power cables. The illustrated four-core option uses PVC insulation, PVC bedding, steel-wire armour and a PVC outer sheath; two-core and XLPE variants are separate selections.

Construction
Illustrated variant: AL/PVC/PVC/SWA/PVC, extruded bedding
- Aluminium conductors
The aluminium conductors form the current-carrying elements of the insulated cores.
- PVC insulation
PVC provides the electrical insulation around each conductor.
- Core assembly
The insulated cores are assembled together within the cable.
- Extruded PVC bedding
An extruded PVC bedding surrounds the assembled cores beneath the armour.
- Steel wire armour
Steel wires form the mechanical armour around the cable.
- PVC outer sheath
PVC forms the external protective covering around the cable assembly.
The image represents the extruded-bedding variant, not the separate lapped-bedding option.

- Circular stranded or circular stranded compacted Class 2.
- PVC compound alternatives are Type 5 heat-resisting 85°C with Type 9/ST2 sheath, or Type A/TI1 with ST1/TM1 sheath. This is not a universal operating-temperature rating.
- Do not combine dimensions or weights across extruded and lapped bedding variants.
- One or more entries in resistance are withheld pending source confirmation; unaffected values remain available.
